Privacy policy
This explains what Bhav collects, why, who sees it and how you control it, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Buyers: your name, mobile number, delivery address, area, your shopping list (and the photo or text you used to make it) and your orders.
- Shops: shop name, owner mobile and WhatsApp number, address, area, what you sell, timings, optional FSSAI and GST numbers, and your prices.
- Payments: Razorpay order and payment reference numbers. Card, bank and UPI details stay with Razorpay; Bhav never receives them.
- Alerts: if you turn on alerts, your browser’s push address so we can notify that phone.
Who sees what
- Shops in your area see your first name, your list, your delivery day and your note. Not your number or address.
- Only the shop you order from sees your full name, mobile number and address, and only after you order.
- Buyers see a shop’s number only after ordering from it.
- Bhav’s admin (the founder) can see everything to run the service and handle complaints.
Services we use
- Supabase stores the database (project hosted in the Mumbai region).
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Razorpay processes online payments.
- Anthropic (Claude) reads typed, spoken or photographed lists to turn them into items. Only the list text or photo is sent, never your name, number or address.
How long we keep it
Lists and orders are kept for up to 3 years for accounts, tax and disputes, then deleted. Shop listings are kept while the shop is on Bhav. You can ask us to delete your data earlier, unless the law requires us to keep it.
On your device
Bhav remembers your name, number and address in your own browser so you do not type them again. The admin sign-in uses one cookie. There are no advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by writing to sarthak.nirhali.dev@gmail.com. We reply within 7 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
